Megan

Megan is an Utah Native that has always known animals to be an important part of her life. Megan graduated from the University of Utah in December 2019 with a Bachelor of Science in both Sociology and Health, Society and Policy. She has always felt most at home around dogs and never gone long with out one in her life. She currently has two Australian Shepherds, Kiryn and Aine.

Megan first became interested in canine rehabilitation when Kiryn was a puppy and diagnosed with severe hip dysplasia. In January 2018 she began interning at Alta Dog to learn more about rehabilitation and explore various career paths within the veterinary/animal sciences field. Kiryn and Megan have worked with Tena since the beginning of Alta Dog for Kiryn’s therapy and has since successfully rehabilitated from two total hip replacements. Megan has learned that rehabilitation is an ongoing process that can be highly rewarding. Her favorite part of working at Alta Dog Rehabilitation is seeing dogs get back to their happy, active selves. Megan is also an experienced pet sitter for her favorite animals, dogs and cats.

In her free time, Megan enjoys training her dogs, watching movies, reading, and most of all, traveling. She recently returned home from Ireland in December 2019 where she completed an internship in preparation for her career in public health and policy change. She had an amazing adventure but was excited to return home to her dogs and all the dogs at Alta Dog.
