Kiryn

Kiryn is an Australian Shepherd who was born in August 2010. From the day her family met her, they knew she had a special soul. She is wise, caring, and a people-lover. Kiryn has faced multiple health issues beginning just three days after her adoption when she was diagnosed with parvovirus; however, her biggest issue for the vast majority of her life has been hip dysplasia. She met Tena at just 2 years old and had a wonderful experience working on pain management and maintenance therapy. Kiryn ran and played as much as possible on her hips until they started to become too painful. In September 2016 she underwent her first hip replacement. Less than two years later, in April 2018, the other hip was replaced. Kiryn thanks the amazing care of her surgeon, veterinarian, and physical therapist Tena who were able to get her back to working, playing, and living her most full and best life possible.

Kiryn is a Canine Good Citizen and is working toward becoming a therapy animal in the near future. She enjoys playing ball, working hard at training, getting love from humans, and eating all the peanut butter in the under water treadmill while at Alta Dog. Kiryn welcomes clients, human and canine alike, for their appointment and supports them in their journey whether that be for pain management, maintenance, or surgery and knows that full recovery is possible.
