Tena Hosie, PT, CCRT (Physical Therapist/Certified Canine Rehabilitation Therapist) received her canine rehabilitation certification from The Canine Rehabilitation Institute in Loxahatchee, Florida, in January 2007. Tena completed a working internship in canine rehabilitation at Veterinary Orthopedic Sports Medicine in Maryland from July, 2006 thru November of 2006.
Since receiving her canine rehabilitation certificate Tena, together with Tracie Robertson, PT, CCRT and Dr. Kristen Blum, DVM, CCRT started “Alta Dog Rehab” in 2007, providing rehabilitation to dogs in their homes. In 2011 Tena took a position at Utah Veterinary Center as their rehabilitation therapist. In January 2015, Alta Dog Rehabilitation opened it’s doors to provide a fun , relaxing environment where dogs could come to heal.
Prior to specializing in canine rehab, Tena received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Therapy from the University of New England in Biddeford, Maine in 1992. She has practiced physical therapy since that time in Maine, New Hampshire, Utah and Maryland in a variety of settings including inpatient and outpatient neurological and orthopedic rehabilitation. Tena enjoys skiing, kayaking, biking (motor),swimming, scrapbooking and spending time with her husband and two, four legged children, Sophie and Ruby.
